The Crimea 22/1/05

A great night at The Crimea.

The band played loads of new material - some well rehearsed and some.......well some a bit dodgy but the alcohol drenched rockers of Cas loved it anyway.

Great to see Richard and Sharon as well as Dave Bell venturing to a Cas vegas gig for the first time.

Despite broken strings and a the usual late arrival Sam played some blistering guitar in Freebird. Other new material included High and Dry, American Idiot, Sweet Home Alabama, and a really dodgy version of Ace of spades.

Rumour has it that U2's Vertigo is the next up for The Erics treatment!!??

See you all at The Lion?

The Crimea, famed for a war and now for a rocking Erics gig. Mind you it looked for a time like a new version of the war might break out as two of the locals came to blows over a 'lady friend'! And the band? Well they played on.....And how! They really cranked up the dB to the obvious delight of a packed pub. Some great new material, the highlight of which was Sam's guitar solo on Freebird- we are not worthy- and of the older stuff the stand outs for me were Swords of a Thousand Men and Won't get Fooled Again (but then, they always are!)
