and we've got peeps coming from manchester, dubai and even australia to make the night one to remember

and whilst we're on about far away lands, last fri saw a small but perfickly formed group of leeds finest make the long trip over to whitby where half of the erics (+ another one along for the beer) were performing with Roxyrama

after a quick stroll along the front and fish n chips (£4 for a foooookin fish!!!!) it was time to get to the gig

it started of a bit quiet, but ended up being a great night

plenty of top class music, loadsa beer and a full dance floor

and speaking of all things Roxyrama, heres a little news item that was featured on ROCK OF THE NORTH

Leeds band Roxyrama are to be recorded for the forthcoming Hollywood production starring Ricky Gervais. Bass player Fin Keating offers the following:

'We've entered into an agreement with a Los Angeles production company whereby our version of the Roxy Music song 'Virginia Plain' will feature in the forthcoming Warner Brothers film 'This Side Of The Truth' which is written by and stars the comedian Ricky Gervais. The track will be used as background music during a dialogue scene. The film is scheduled for release in September this year. Naturally we are thrilled to bits regarding this! From Hollywood to Whitby now and the band have a preview in the Whitby Gazette regarding their gig there on Friday'
