LIONFEST

Due to circumcisions beyond our control we are not playing the lionfest this sat (11th nov) which will be held, strangely enough at the lion pub in sunny Castleford
.
There is however a number of great bands playing at this great indoor festival which raises spondoolies for the yorkshire air ambulance
the day starts at 12 noon with the last band taking to the stage at 11pm
bands will roughly follow this order

Silent Sundays

No Mercy For Percy
regulars at the front of erics gigs, ryan and the boyz are a treat to watch, playing punked up versions of old classics and newer rock/punk
.

girl kills boy
gentle giant TANK and the lads deliver original pop/punk material in the same vein as blink 182, alkeline trio and jimmi eat world
good band

Dosch
these guys are apparently very entertaining and bloody great at their craft, which is r and b injected with a good sense of humour in the style of doctor feelgood, wilco and the sensational alex harvey band
.
Riff Raff
landlord H's band, and as far as I'm concerned the best sounding AC/DC tribute around, sticking to the bon scott stuff and doing the great man proud
.
Angabart
all I know about these guys n gal is that they are a female fronted rock covers band that feature malc (lion pa gadge) on guitar
.
The Spunksters
malcs back again with the spunky foursome (OOOER!!!!) to give us non stop punk classics, all delivered by the quite marvellous lenny on vocals (don't forget the bus pass) BRILLIANT
.
Cat House Creepers
what better way to end the night than donning your beetlecrushers, drainpipes and salmon pink blazer to bop along to these three rocker, rollers who were apparently accidentally frozen in muggings butchers freezer in 1955 and since defrosting a few years back have been ripping up the live circuit with their non stop show
.
So show your support by getting along
(plus lagers only £1.30 a pint)
