LSD's BIG FIVE
.

a couple of years back we decided to share with the erics faithfull (you lucky, lucky people) our most fave songs ever, ever, ever, ever ,ever of all time ..............EVER!!

,

but as people grow and new songs come out things change, so over the next few weeks we'll be putting our faves as they are now up on this splendid tinterwebby thingy

,

and seeing as he dint get a chance to air his gems last time (STEADY) we are starting starting with the smallest sexbomb of the erics ranks
.
LSD in his own words

(yes he does actually speak)
.

In no particular order, off the top of my head..

.

Thin Lizzy - Still in love with you (Live Version)

.

Loved this song the first time I heard it 20 odd years ago and still love it now. Probably not the greatest technical guitar solo's known to man but the feel still gets to me. Brilliant song from one of my fave all time bands

.

As Time Slips By - Vinnie Moore

.

A cracking tune from a widdle master, in my opinion it shows the sheer technical wizardry of Vinnie, its got load of feel, melody and variety of styles. Always puts a smile on my face. Usually forming the word Bast**d..

.

Van Morrison - Have I told you lately that I love you

.
Musically this song is genius, chord construction brilliant, the ascending piano solo melody tremendously effective , lyrically superb to me probably best romantic ballad written. By the way I've now taken my bra off....

.

Perfect Blue Buildings - Counting Crows

.

This song wouldn't leave my mind when my dad was in the final stages of cancer I found it particulary moving. When I hear it now it still reminds me of my dad in better times, but it also makes me think of my own mortality and ineviable destiny. Great song, great band

.

Daydream - Robin Trower (Live)

.

In my opinion one of the most under-rated guitarists of the last 40+ Years. This brings back great memories from the 5th form common room at School with Sam. If I remember rightly we all (all the 5th form) chipped in to buy areally Shite record player which was mainly taken over by rock fans. Iremember a guy called Ruben (a guy who wore Spangled hot pants to school on non uniform day.. Day rhymes with ???) attempted to put on a Disco Album ...Needless to say Trower won the day .. And rightly so This song has a cracking intro and solo oozes feel and passion. Many memories and a superb tune..

.

sorry dave, just couldnt resist it
