WHISKEY IN THE BUCKET
.
.
we had a belter of a gig at the lion on sun night
.
big thanks to TOC for the pics
.
heres what steve of ROCK OF THE NORTH said about it
.
Webmaster Joe celebrated his 21st in the Lion Castleford with a packed house being rocked by a truly brilliant two sets by The Erics. Julie of the Lion says the amount in the Lion last night was more than a normally busy Friday. I personally thought the Erics played at their brilliant best but it wasn't just the opinion of your trulys as the post gig banter proved. The gig was bolstered by guest spots with Mick of Broken Angel (She Sells Sanctuary)
.
Crusher of Caterpillar Heroes (It's Not Unusual and an Elvis song)
,
then Ryan of NMFP and Bradford's sensational Charlie Meehan played and sang together with the Erics on Black Sabbaths Paranoid!!!
.
Charlie's solo was incredible and he once again amazed many more rock fans gathered at the Lion! Hats off to Ryan as well, he really is a great vocalist, also proving his versatility by singing a version of The Proclaimers 500miles!
.
The very generous Erics also donated their bucket collection of £90 (and a few coppers) to the joint charities we supported at the Frock of the North gig. Thanks lads, very much appreciated but what a great bucket as well, so well done also to the gathering in the Lion. What a great night and one supported by many of the RotN bands personnel
.
.
plus members of AFTER DARK and THE REAMS
.
We loved every minute of the gig and would like to report that the normally tee total webmaster had 14 Bells and Lemonade and eventually threw up!
.
Memories are made of this!
