POUNDING HEADS
.
BOUNCY BOOBIES
.
AND THE SHITS
.
last night saw us play to the locals at the kettlethorpe pub, just off kettlethorpe road in (strangely enough) kettlethorpe
.
we weren't sure what to expect when we turned up as there were about six people in the gig room, with an average age of 70 listening to marty robbins and matt monro songs!!
.
but as gig time came around, the place filled up nicely with a load of lads out for a piss up and a laugh and a bit later on a load of lasses (some with gravity beating chests) up for a sinalong
.
it ended up a good night to say that sam had the worst headache ever in the history of headaches
.
EVER!!
.
paul had driven home from ireland, setting off at 4am and got an hours kip before the gig
.
LSD had dodgy guts
.
and BSD didn't drink enough
.
see you all at the new inn walton this wed 31st oct for our mega smega spectacular fancy dress halloween bash

PUT 'T' KETTLE ON
.
heres a few more pics from the keys on sat
. plus heres what graham from MORLEY MUSIC TRUST had to say about the gig
.
A lot of The Keys regular Music Fans including snoopy Bad Penny (Does he ever go home or does he live there) were at the keys but we all had to wait for the final whistle of the rugby before the nights real entertainment began. Upon the whistle they were off like a bullet only to find LSD's set up wasn't working, 5 or 6 minutes of Sam, BSD & Paul banter + Songs/ditties you couldn't put into print
LSD traced the Fault and we were on our way. We were treated to Pink Floyd, The Jam, The Sex Pistols, The Automatic and many more of the Erics repertoire, Highlights definitely being 'The Wall' and Tenpole Tudors 'Swords of a Thousand Men'! This night seemed to have BSD doing more vocals than I've seen before although from where I was Sam was obscured by a speaker
(Not such a bad thing)
Many times the dancefloor was mental arms and legs flailing everywhere. Tonight they announced that BSD's newly formed (other) Band was called 'Meals on Wheels' much to everyones amusement. The New super group is actually called 'Shields of Steel' Watch out for these at a venue near you!
The night ended around 11.30 with the Proclaimers '500 miles' and LSD running around through the audience. U2's one rounded everything off
Another great night with The Erics. Many of the rugby crowd seemed to hang around to watch so hopefully the Lads can add a few more fans to their following!

.
theres some strange people about!
.
it looked like it was going to be quiet on the punters front, but as 9.30 rolled round it filled up quite nicely and a belter and a melter of a night was had by all

WHAT! A PIECE OF CRAP?
.
below, caught on camera and revealed to the public for the first time is the moment where mal (NOT THE GUY FROM THE FLYING PICKETS) realised that when the guy at the pizza shop asks what toppings you want on your seven inch deep pan, its probably not a wise idea to say
.
' just throw any old shit on it bud '
.

.

.
GREAT DRUMMER
.
this is what local music site ROCK OF THE NORTH had to say about our very own paul
.

One of our Cas Vegas friends Howard Gibson sent a DVD of a few clips from Lionfest at the end of August and two which caught my eye were of the Erics. Wont Get Fooled Again and Another Brick In The Wall were the clips and Sam and the Two Sexy Daves, Big and Little, all did their normal superb contributions at the front. However it was the back of the stage that blew me away. Drummer Paul was /is phenomenal! On a minimalist kit he works like hell. Going over the DVD allows you to study things more and I do take my hat off to Paul, he's brilliant! Because of the Erics banter and so much going on in their nutty set, I had missed picking out the individual musicianship, but wow, Paul...were not worthy! Check out The Erics at the RotN Convention on November 10th!
.
we agree
.
