its quite a busy time at erics towers at the moment with sam and the MOJO boys putting on a sterling performance at the LION CAS last sat in the company of many of the areas top musos, fans and CRUSH and BSD

.

then sunday saw paul dipping his feet in waters new when he did his first gig for leeds based roxy music tribute ROXYRAMA, a great bunch of lads who deliver the roxy sound to a tee

.

the gig was a charity do over in hull with some brilliant bands on the bill (dint get their names though) and ROXYRAMA were on second from last

.

paul did a great job with no visible nerves, he may have felt a bit more at home and relaxed as our very own sam eric was standing in on guitar duties so obviously all the girlies were concentrating on him!

.

a great night and the band went down really well with the locals

.

.

.

i must mention the final band who of the night who were David Bowee (can you guess who they were a tribute to then?) these were a great band playing a good selection of bowie classics including loads of the older (BETTER) stuff and a show that was very visual, mr bowee even had three costume changes

.

.

.

there are no erics gigs now until fri 15th aug when we'll be down at the NEW ROSCOE LEEDS, which we're really looking forward to as its always a cracking night

.

.

but before then sam and the MOJO lads have got a few lined up including the cross keys morley on sat 2nd aug where they will be trying out the stregnth of the new stage before BSD is allowed to jump about on it

.

.

and the weekend after on sun 10th aug BSD will be playing his first gig with HEAVY LOAD at the lion in cas (7pm)

.

he will probbly be wearing long trousers for a change, tucked into his boots for when the brown adrenalin kicks in

.

our very good freind tommy of TOMMY's BAR (NEW INN WALTON) has just set up a myspace called turtlegigs with the help of linda blue

it has been well documented in these pages (?) that tommy is one of the nicest guys the band has had the pleasure to meet in our 11 years together and we've had some great times with him at his boozer and also at the gigs hes come to see us at

.

a big cheers to everyone who came down to The Three Horseshoes in headingley last night

.

we were a bit worried when there were only about five punters in at 8 o clock, but by the time we went on at 8.45 the place was packed

. it was great to see 'the beaver' in action on the drums again and thanx to the erics girls who were out in force (thanx for the hats ladies) the girls included two newies who had come all the way from ponty and dubai

.

cheers also to the peeps from ROXYRAMA , ROGUEFLYS , SPLINTER and AFTER DARK for showing up to see how it shunt be done

.

performance wise, we were our usual sex god on a stick, drop dead noisy but with the extra added twist of uncontrolable sweatyness which can be attributed in part by the great idea for BSD to wear his cab cover as a tribute to all things glam in the second set (big shoulders)

.

another long break now til we return with one of our fave type top gigs at the NEW ROSCOE LEEDS on fri 15th aug

the mood is giddy here at erics towers as this sunday sees us back at barry and jans rather splendid boozer The Three Horseshoes in headingley
. its our only gig this month (get used to it) so we're hoping that quite a few of the erics gang will drag themselves off of the sofa and join us for an early evening of beer, bouncing and boogie
. the beer by the way, is quite reasonably priced if i remember rightly so you might as well get pissed and the money you save can pay for a taxi home
.
(or a keeeebab and a walk)
. we will be starting about 8.30ish pm so even though you'll have all been up early for church, it wont be that late a night

the erics aint playing this weekend and are looking for gigs to go see so that we can educate our ears to all things live, noisy and good

friday night has the Harry Coffey Band at the thornhill arms staninngley playing the pudsey cobras independence day bash including fireworks at midnight (great little freindly boozer, this one) or the THIN LIZZY EXPERIENCE at Spencer's Arms, Barugh Green barnsley

.

sat has got soon to be erics type joined band thingy the ROGUEFLYS at the lion cas where, if you go, you are likely to bump into a few of the super sexgod mega stars that are the erics, also theres gud buds COAST at Bruntcliffe WMC, morley

.

and sunday has got the awsome SCOOBY at the crimea cas (5pm ish i think) and the equally awsome (in a 70's vibe) After Dark are over the road at the lion (7pm ish) BSD and most of the cas music mafia will probbly be out at these

.
